Thanks for the response, Martin. You NetBeans people are always fast to react :)
Today I made a small test program to properly test the WaitScreen component and this time it did work as expected. The application called the SimpleCancellableTask’s executable method without a problem. The problem in the Saferoom application might have been caused by the fact that I started to develope it with the early nightly builds of NetBeans Mobility Pack 5.0. But as mentioned above it seems to be working now and I’ll most definetly be using your WaitScreen component in the future projects :) Thanks again for your support.

Hi - I’m actually the one who created the WaitScreen component and its support in the visual designer. I’m sorry the WaitScreen doesn’t work as it should and I would like to know more details about your application to be able to help here. The source code of the app would help a lot. So if you would like to solve the problem, please contact me either directly or file an issue to NetBeans issuezilla (component 3rd-party, subcomponent mobility pack). Thanks. B.
