New Release, Mobile Task Manager v1.3
I just uploaded the latest binaries (JAR and JAD) of Mobile Task Manager to Google Code download page. The previous version (v1.2) was already downloaded over 1700 times in less then a month so there seems to be a need for a good GTD / Task Manager application :)
This version fixes the issues with the export and import. Now you can export data to CSV file correctly and you can import that file either to root folder or to the folder that is currently selected.
This version also improves the startup time significantly. Application is ready to use in about three seconds after the launch on my Nokia E71.
Have fun while Getting Things Done with the Mobile Task Manager! :)

I’ve been using Mobile Task Manager for weeks and its becoming an app i use on a regular basic. I use it to keep track of just about any to-do item i have. The only complaint i had was the long start up time. This updated version eliminates it almost entirely. Start up time before use to be around 6 seconds. Now its down to about 2 seconds on my Nokia N78. It loads almost as quick as most native s60 apps. Great job!

Thanks a lot, Tommi.
As kiyo21 said, The startup time is much faster, and splash screen now disappears :-)
I thing I noticed though.
If I Export to file (default E:\gtd-backup.csv) and that file already exists MTM crashes with notice ‘Unhandled exception. Do you want to close application?’ or in Finnish ‘Käsittelemätön poikkeus. Haluatko sulkea sovelluksen?’.

Thanks for getting the fixes in V1.3 out so quickly. The Java wrapper installation works fine on my SE W995. I hope that you’ll keep up the good work and incorporate some of the suggestions that have been made for introducing new functionality.
By the way, if you ever feel dejected because of all the work we’re making for you, just bear in mind that, if Mobile Task Manager was a load of rubbish then it would be a lot easier for you to maintain because no one would want to use it and, if no one wanted to use it there’d be no one around to suggest improvments, so the only reason why you have to work so hard is because you’re good. :-)

@Jari: Thanks for reporting the overwrite bug. I’ll fix that in upcoming versions.
@Steve: I don’t feeld dejected :) On the other hand I don’t have that much time in my hands as I would like to have for coding these apps. Maybe when I win in a lottery and can devote more time for crafting interesting mobile apps.

Your mobile task manager is amazing!
I practiced David Allen’s GTD and when I bumped onto this task manager…. it’s just a dream come true. It can do all of ‘list/folder’ organization thought by David Allen. Are you a David Allen’s GTD practitioner too?
Well, I couldn’t afford any smartphones or Palm or Blackberry to keep a mobile and compact organizer at hand. Paper organizers, however I designed it are just not mobile enough for me. So this task manager is what I longed for.
I used Mobile Task Manager v1.3 in my humble SE K320i and it works just fine. One simple thing might make it even more comfortable to use is to change its colour. Right now the colour of the background and the highlighted button are not contrast enough to each other. So most of the times I have to look at the screen carefully so to click on the button I want.
Thank you very much for developing Mobile Task Manager and sharing it with everyone. :)

Will this work for Windows 6 mobiles and the Chinese dual SIM mobiles?
