Kasvopus v1.2 – Facebook app’s new face

Toolbar extended to show two lines of icons.

Previous version of Kasvopus used the toolbar menu which was located in the top of the screen. In the long run I felt it was rather painful to use since if you hold your phone with one hand in portrait mode it’s quite hard to press any buttons that are on top of the screen.

With this release of Kasvopus I moved the menu items from top to bottom and removed the whole top bar. Now most of the shortcuts are always visible, Home, Friends, Profile and Status. When you press “More” icon the toolbar slides upwards and reveals second line of icons. This feels much better to use compared to previous version.

The v1.2 also includes the following:

  • Pull down to refresh home feed
  • Scroll down will trigger “load more” automatically
  • No more 403 errors when commenting statuses
  • App icon should work better on Symbian devices

      I released fixed version this morning. Try downloading the v1.2.1 from the same place.

    I’m getting redrawing artifacts on the n900: When I go to refresh, the rest of view goes black for a moment. Same happens when I click to view a photo

      Looks like the bug was patched in another CSSU update. The update didn’t show up in App Man, had to use xterm http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1084226&postcount=4623

    Mmm, after a while the bottom bar doesn’t work anymore on my Nokia E6. Any luck the E6 will be supported in the future?
