Mobile Twitter Client – Twim
Twim is a mobile Twitter client that runs on devices that are compatible with Java MIDP 2.0. User can browse history, replies, friends, direct messages and public feeds with the application. User can also also update his/her status. Links can be opened in phone browser. You can search for tweets. You can upload photos and videos to Twitgoo, TwitPic, TwitrPix, Twitvid, Mobypicture or yFrog services. Twim also supports auto-refreshing (in every 5 minutes) and it will alarm you if new tweets are available by vibrating your phone and playing a small info sound.

Where are the settings to get this updated? There is no time for updates. How do I update my timeline, not my tweets, but like automatic updates to my timeline.

Hi,
Twim is working great on my Motorola V3xx :)
I used the O2 WAP Flat Patcher (http://mobdev.wordpress.com/2006/08/26/o2-wap-flat-patcher-version-01/) to modify the Useragent and add the x-wap-profile header to use it with my providers wap-flatrate (they only allow special useragents und require a x-wap-profile header to stop people from using it as a gprs flatrate for their laptop)

Mani: Thanks! I just monitored the network traffic when I ran the Twim in an emulator. The recent list update was about 15kb and it should be quite the same for other views as well.

Thanx Tommi, You know, for many people without unlimited data plans it is quite important to have an estimate of data transfer (and cost). I think it would be great if you gather more data and give the users a comparison table between SMS method and this Method :)

I like I like :) from a Twitter addict who has tried every mobile twitter app out there. Prefer this to Tiny Twitter and jTwitter. Nice interface, and its snappy. Great work! And put me on the mailing list for updates :)

Hi, I like this application and it works well on my Nokia E51. Can you tell me how this is better than just using the twitter.com from my phone, which also seems to work well. Does the app just use less bandwidth? Sorry, I’m not a techie person.

Hi Clare! You might as well use the twitter.com from your phone. My phone (Nokia N80) has a really bad web browser so this is the reason why I created this application. I’d say that it takes equal amount of bandwidth then by using phone browser.

On my W800i Twin hangs after each status update and shows only the little world on the Archive-pane. Jumping left or right only shows Replies and Recent.
