Hello Tommi

Just got a Samsung Jet – lacks in-built torch of my previous phone.

I have tried installing Jad + Jar files (after extracting onto computer and transferring via USB.

However, an error message appears saying filetype is unsupported.

Is there a way around this?

Hello Tommi,

I appreciate this small program, but I was really looking for program which can swich on and off torch (flash ligt) on back side of my Nokia 6500 classic. I suppose that I can use shining white screen as torch but real deal would be get into swiching flashlight.

Please let me know if are you planning to release this program and I am sure other people would love this opportunity to have your program.

@mattis420: Yes, it acts like a flashlight. It can only displays white background which glows quite enough in the dark.

im going to buy a LG Delve soon, so does this “Tourch” act like an flashlight of some sort?? How bright does it get?

I like it! I’m thinking this would be very amusing if you could modify it to show a “flame” like that of a Bic Lighter–I read somewhere that people at concerts are now lighting up their cell phones instead of their lighters, and a flickering “flame” to make my V3xx look like a lighter in the dark would be a lot of fun. Don’t forget to make it bright enough!

@cowboy3: It depends on your phone. On most phones you transfer the application file (.jar) to your phone using USB cable or Bluetooth. Most phones automatically install the app from there.

Katia: You are probably out of battery? Torch application is running on Java so it doesn’t really have access to the phone settings. You should try out recharging your phone.

please help, i installed Torch on my device N82 and now screen is black and it has light but i can’t access the mobile at all and i tried to remove the battery but still the same when i switched back on! help me please
